Paper on Platinum and the Platinum group.
W
W Osmium, from Encyclopedia.
I am desirous of explaining to your Excellency that since
that my arrival in this Country, I think I have discovered the reason
why my previous communications to Earl Crewe on the subject of
my discoveries were not taken notice of, is that his advisers
were practically ignorant of the chemistry of osmium; as I
find that little has been studied in Academical circles here
with regard to the Platinum metals, and about ozone they seem
to be wrong.
I would Respectfully ask if the Commission appointed by you will collect evidence as to oausarton of fevers &c.
I am, Sir. Your
Your obedient servant
J.Grant Swith
